The Talk Off Competition

Yusuf Shobair, Seven Kings School – Talk Off winner 2022

Our Talk off competition was back for a second year, with students from World Class accredited schools invited to submit their speech answering the theme question How can World Class students use social media as a force for good? Of the over 50 students who submitted a video, the students of St Marylebone School responsible for running the competition chose a shortlist of 14 students from schools across the UK, with students invited to practice and present their final speech in the live finals, held on the morning of the Symposium.

After a morning spent practising their speech, with support and coaching from the students of St Marylebone School, the panel of judges, including representatives from professional networking platform LinkedIn, had the difficult task of choosing the winner – announced at the afternoon awards ceremony.
