Hayes School is an extremely successful, oversubscribed 11-18 co-educational school with excellent accommodation and facilities, set in very attractive grounds.

Examination results at GCSE and A level have shown a continuous year on year improvement. In 2013 students achieved the best ever exam results at GCSE and A-Level. 82% of students achieved 5A*-C grades at GCSE including English and Maths and 56% A*-B grades at A-Level. Our Sixth Form of 445 is heavily oversubscribed and Ofsted judged the Sixth Form to be ‘Outstanding’.

Hayes, however, is not complacent. We strive continually to improve our provision for all students, and for staff development; no stone is left unturned in the drive for excellence. We judge everything we do by asking ‘Would this be good enough for my child?’ Each member of staff goes the extra mile to challenge, support and provide opportunities for every child. In this way, the school motto, ‘Excellence through Endeavour’ is at the heart of all we do.

We are immensely proud of our school, of the opportunities we provide, and of its role in the community. We strive to create an environment where each individual is valued; an environment that fosters tolerance and compassion, vibrant, caring relationships, life long learning skills and a strong sense of moral purpose.

Standards are consistently above national averages – a credit to the students, their families and our staff. We are a National Teaching School working in partnership with schools and partners within the UK and abroad implementing evidence-based learning and research to prepare tomorrow’s learner, leaders and teachers.

Hayes School staff and students were formally reaccredited at the WCSQM Awards Ceremony December 2021
